At HP sites around the world, we are acting to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through company-wide initiatives and site improvements.

The key performance indicators we measure in HP Operations are:

• GHG emissions—Most of our GHG emissions from operations are related to the energy used to power our facilities. We measure and report GHG emissions in tons (written as tonnes) of CO₂e (carbon dioxide equivalent)
• GHG emissions intensity—The energy efficiency performance of our operations, measured in tonnes of CO₂e per million U.S. dollars of net revenue
• Water withdrawal—We measure and report water consumption in m³ (cubic meters)
• Waste generation—We measure and report waste generation in tonnes.
