International standard IEC 61960-3:2017 specifically focuses on secondary lithium cells and batteries for portable applications. It outlines performance tests, designations, markings, and other requirements, including those related to battery capacity after a certain number of charging cycles.
HP can confirm the following capacity retention rates for our batteries:
- 80% after 300 cycles, as per IEC 61960-3:2017—The global sustainability certification TCO 9.0 requires products to meet or exceed this requirement, while TCO 10.0 pushes that requirement to at least 90%. Therefore, all HP TCO 9.0 or 10.0 certified products comply
- 65% after 1000 cycles, as per IEC 61960-3:2017—The global ecolabel for electronics and technology products EPEAT®, optional point 4.4.1.2, requires products to meet or exceed this requirement. Therefore, all HP EPEAT® registered products, which meet this specific optional point, comply.
TCO certificates of certified HP products are available online at http://hp.eu/certificates.
EPEAT® registrations of qualifying HP products can be checked at the EPEAT® online registry at https://www.EPEAT.net/.
